so far i have:
2 Perc Clowns
1 Yellow Watchman Goby
1 sixline wrasse
1 firefish

want:
1 yellow tang or sailfin tang
1 blenny (lawnmower, starry, orangespot, tailspot or bicolor) - i love blennies!
1 purple pseudochromis

75g with 60lb live rock, rena xp3 filter

sound good? too much? ok to maybe add 1 more?

planning on adding some corals in the near future when i get better lights.

the sailfin is a definite no-no, too big for a 75g. the yellow tang is questionable as well, most ppl recommend 100g as minimum tank size for these guys tho i would like to get one in my new 75 too! i don't see a problem with the other fish on the list, the lawnmower needs algae so you may want to wait a while if you went with that guy.

tangs will get too big for long term
blenny im not sure
purple pseudochromis- too aggressive and will eat your inverts. (mine did)

I think the yellow will do fine in the 75g. Mine swims in and out of the rock formation rather than in long straight bursts like a hippo would. I highly recommend the lawnmower blenny as it will not have the personality you like but will have a job cleaning the glass and rocks. The only issues I see are the sixline and dottyback potentially stressing the firefish.

well, i went ahead and got the dottyback.

so far hes ok. he chases my sixline a bit, and my clowns kinda chase him a bit, but after 2 days, so far so good. ill keep an eye on him, and if he gets too bad, ill try to catch him and take him back.

thanks for the advise though!

The purple psuedochromi is actually from the family psuedochromidae (groupers are serranidae), if you dont have any shrimp he shouldnt be too much of a problem.

I don't think adding a Yellow Tang to a 75G is too much at all. Sure, it would be happier in a larger tank, but it would do just fine in a 75. I wouldn't pack the tank with LR, however...give it some swimming room.

i think here in the future, i will get the yellow tang. they are so awesome.

as far as the blenny, i decided on a starry or lawnmower. that will probably be all for my livestock for a good while.
