I'm in a pickle and not sure how to combat it. With my well water, I am forced to use crushed coral in jugs and let the water sit for a couple of days before it is ready to use. I also treat the water with two drops of Prime per gallon. I think I may still be getting some nasties coming in (not sure what all Prime will remove such as copper or what not). So...my question is....what, if any, added benefit would I get if I were to add carbon to the jugs as well?
thx

If you have contaminants in your water, you will need a solution matched to the contaminants. Although a good start miht be a good filter followed by an RO, I would get the water tested to see what you are dealing with. At that point there are those who specialize in water treatment that could give you a definitive direction. An RO is a good all around filter for many contaminants but if you look at the removal specs that come with one they will remove 95% of some things and as little as 70% of other things. You really need to know what you are dealing with.
