New Bolivian Ram with German Blue Ram

does anyone have the problem i'm currently having? today I got a new bolivian ram (female) and right now I think I have young male GBR which currently consistently goes really close to the bolivian and pecks on her cheeks and lips. I'm not sure is this normal but the bolivian ram doesn't seem like she lieks it and gets stressed a bit. After I feed them, they are happy again, but GBR continually pecks her. So far no physical damage fins look good, no cuts or wounds either.

Is this normal? I dont think these fish interbreed..

when it comes to cross breeding..anything is possible.

I, however, find it difficult to determine the sex of the bolivians.

you should make sure you have enough cover for the rams to hide if they are getting picked on.
line of sight cover is best. I find rams don't generally hide in 'caves' mine prefer driftwood tangles.
