Hi
I recently bought two new fish to add to my aquarium. They looked fine in my quarintine tank so i decided to add them to the main aquarium (no spots and were eating well). Any way they were added to my tank and 1 week later 4 of my fish including the new ones all had white spot.

Now to ask my qustion can i add Tri-Sulfa Tablets to my tank, because i have corals and anemones in my tank and i wonder if it will effect them. The tablets dont have any copper in it.

Try a product called IchAttack. It worked great for me in my reef tank.

I have used Ich Attack, I raised my temperature and used it for an extended period of time. I believe JoJo (a user here) reccomended it. The only downside to it was that it discolors the tank water. It says it doesn't but it does. It turns it a dingy color for the day. I turned my skimmer off for the duration of treatment as well.

I haven't had ICK (knock on wood) in my DT yet. But I have heard also from JoJo that this is the product to use if you have to treat a DT. The only bad things that I have heard about it is that it might cause an algae outbreak afterwords. vorlx did you have that issue?

No algae outbreak just a dingy tank for the day until it resumed to normal at night. I ran it for about 5-6 weeks with elevated temps around 85-86. I had to buy quite a bit of it. Once I was finished (was sufficiently happy it was gone) then I did the normal large pwc's and ran carbon. A few days after carbon use I then kicked my skimmer off. Now, wierd enough, I did have a nasty cyano/diatom outbreak on the sand bed (still battling it) but that wasn't until probably a month later and I do use tap water so I am associating it to silicates in my water colimn. I am still not 100% convinced it is gone but I haven't visually seen it in months. I had only seen it on one of my tangs and its possibly that their immune system was just built up during treatment.

I honestly think the only true cure is to QT with hypo and let the DT run fallow but that just wasn't possible with me. QTing all new livestock is key. Do as I say not as I do! hah!
