ok so in the last few days my oscar has started actin really weird!!
she's scratching herself on the gravel and when she does she goes completely on her side!! also her fins twitch uncontrollably at times which i think is quite weird too!! most of the time it only lasts about 5 seconds but its starting to increase and i dunno what it could be!!
at first i thought she might have just been itchy but she has continued to do ti so now i'm gettin a bit concerned!!
i don't know what my water parameters are except my ph is 7.4 and my water temp is 27 celcius..sorry for my rant but that's the only way i can describe it..:help:

Please buy an API liquid test kit and determine your ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Scratching is brought by several factors such as silt, gill and skin flukes, ich and other diseases (most of these are most likely skin diseases).

is there anything i can get to put in the tank to fix it?
until i get an api test kit so she doesn't get any worse?!

it is difficult to determine what the problem might be.
could be flashing due to water quality. there are a host of other issues that could also cause this..including adding chemicals to the tank.

you might just want to add fresh clean water and see what happens. how long has this tank been set up? what is the maintenacne schedule?
test the water asap.

my convicts sometimes do this while marking territory but i doubt your oscar is doing it for that reason
