I posted this in catfish but I noticed RTR lurking about and I was hoping for a quick opinion.

my queen golden nugget has apparant columnaris, classic white fuzzy patches.

I have isolated him in a 2 1/2 gallon hospital tank and dosed with maracyn and maracyn II along with coppersafe.

anything else I should do?

btw, now I know why old fishermen come home with stories about catching catfish, boy are they clever. within 3 minutes he figured out that my net was a trap, that my plastic pitcher was a trap, that I was out to get him and that he was faster than me. it took me a good 15 minutes to get him cornered and that was only after I took most of the decorations out of the tank. all this for a 3 inch long fish.

thanks,

Thought I'd *bump* you b4 you got lost...but...

have you used this combo-bomb treatment before? Seems like it should work (regardless of the ailment!) if following directions, though I've never use any of it before. Do you have reason to think it will not work? Just curious famman. :)

I did a thorough search, and this seemed to be the most successfull approach. I always like to peer review stuff like this when I can. I've used a similiar 'combo-bomb' as you call it on 'angelfish aids' with good results.
thanks
:)

Good enough! I'm very cautious about mixing meds (partly b/c I'm too lazy to research their compatability!) and I only use a few different remedies so I was curious. Thank you.:)

I found a suspiciously similiar tuft of fungus looking material growing from the side of an ornament I put in there from a different tank. Do I maybe have a case of true fungus?
His patches are getting smaller, he seems to be getting better. Time will tell.
thanks,
:)

I regret to inform the board that my L177 jumped out of his hospital tank last night. I found him this morning far too late. I am very depressed.
