Hello! I'm new here!

Hello all! My name is Megan and I am a first year college student. I began my fish endeavors with a general love for animals. When I moved in to my dorm room first semester it felt like something was missing, but what? I had the sweet technicolor comforter and matching sheet set. I had the cool stream line mini fridge, and brand new Macbook laptop. I had my wall covered in my favorite posters and a never ending supply of Ramen noodles (something every college student should have). What more could I possibly ask for? Suddenly I realized how lonely I was. I have a black cat (more like panther) appropriately named Bagera (from the Jungle Book for those who aren't Disney fans). That cat had been my soul mate from the day we found him. Every night he would jump into bed with me and sleep as close to my face as he possibly could manage without smothering me. He was my closest friend and confidant and I love him dearly. There's also another furry critter I saved from a frozen fate over Christmas break. Her name was Taz and she was a tiny little kitten, when I found her half frozen in the snow and ice. I hurriedly saved her from the harsh Western New York winter and she was mine from then on. I missed them. I missed them both terribly.
Shortly after I made a trip to Walmart and being the impulsive creature I am I bought a blue male Betta and named him Lenny. I was so taken with my new friend it wasn't long before my red male Betta, Winston, joined my family. Just recently I purchased a Black Moor and named him Bubba, and am running out of room! I am very pleased with my new aquatic family and hope to get more in the future.
