So, just bought a Juwel Rio 180litre second hand.

Didn't come with the standard ballast and lid which I don't have, but came with Arcadia Luminaire over tank lighting.

Question is, how to cover the tank so the fish don't jump out?

this may sound silly, but what sort of fish are you keeping/planning on keeping in there (maybe you don't need a cover... not good for evaporation though)? I haven't heard of arcadia before but it looks like you might be dealing with mounting legs... without knowing too much else I would recommend a custom glass cover (acrylic is easy to come by but it warps, trust me).

Maybe some other people with similar lights will chime in... hope that helps anyway...

hi jordan, my stocking is in my sig - this tank will be a 50G upgrade from the 27G in my sig, all stock to be transferred

here is a link to the arcadia lighting:

A lot of people dont cover their tanks. You can try some floating plants to keep your fish from getting freaked and jumping out.

or find a glass cover that fits the size of your tank.

right, i see, with the obvious ones being killis, hatchets and spalshing tetras that jump, any others to watch for?
