My male ocellaris is still not eating :( its beean a couple weeks. he started off eating less than usual, now doesnt reallly eat at all. he takes food into his mouth, but spits it right back out. I've also noticed stringy white feces, so i think its an internal infection. i have metronidazole tablets and was wondering if i could just grind some up and mix w/ his food? i've used the same tablets before on a f/w fish and it worked. good/bad idea? suggestions? any help will be appreciated.

water params:

I don't see a problem with that. Garlic is another alternative. More details are written here.

Are you positive he isn't eating anything? Sometimes they'll spit out food to make it smaller.

Hmmm...internal parasite i would say, going by the stringy feaces and lack of feeding. I would remove to Quarantine and try one dose of Metronidazole and monitor feaces and feeding.
