Just wondering how i can quiet down my overflow box on my tank about every minute it gurlgles and hisses (sounds funny i know) i used to have a girlfriend who did the same thing. Anyways i have the sponge in there it seems to help a little but this thing is really noisy any suggestions?

I assume that you are speeking of overflow as in a sump, what I did was put a valve on the outside of the thing, and shut the valve untill the sump filled up about 3/4 of the way. If that makes sense.
Shut the valve for just enough water to get out, but not so much that it is bone dry, but still enough to keep it 3/4 of the way full. The only bad thing is that you need enough water to keep your pump submerged in your filter. Shutting the valve down makes you add more water. Make sure that you do not have so much water that if your electricity goes out, that your external filter overflows with water. I learned this the hard way
