I have this green algae looking thing on my glass, just wanted to know if its bad and should I get rid of it, or can I keep it?

Ok heres a close up on the ends, sorry about the green algae on the glass, didn't want to hurt the "thing" thats growing.
looks like macro algae to me too. i'd leave it, i like the look of variety in my tanks personally... as long as it doesn't grow out of control!
Thanks, but yeah, obviously some type of macro algae and you probably won't be able to get a solid ID on it untill it grows out fully. As others have stated, something to watch though as such algae, without any herbivores that control it, can become a pest.

Thanks a lot for the help, I will keep an eye on it. At least its far enough up on the glass so I can remove it if it ever gets out of hand.
