Hiding Parrots

Does anyone have any ideas how to get 2 blood parrots to come out of hiding? They have their own hiding place that they have claimed so i thought they would start coming out more. But they don't, and they hardly eat. I have 2 Jack Dempseys in with them...I am wondering if I move the JD's, will it help? I have a ten gal I could put them in for the time being...until I get my next big tank going.

moving the JD's might help but they wont be able to stay in a 10for that long depending on there current size maybe not even at all. How long have you had them??? If u give them some time they should start coming out more as long as the JD's aren't terrorising them

My guess is that the JDs are harassing them. Moving them would depend on their current size and the timeframe of which you could get the larger tank setup.
