Just under 6 months ago I got 13 juvenile Geophagus iporangensis (a dwarf member of the brasiliensis complex- the males reach about 4", females smaller) from a friend in a local aquarist society (I only really wanted 5, but she gave me 13!). 3 weeks ago a pair of these spawned, so I wanted to post a couple fo pictures... you'll have to make allowances for dirty tank glass though LOL...

male (I had to remove him after 2 weeks as he was being very aggressive with the female)

Great news about the fry...Good luck in raising them...Dont worry about the water spots on the Glass...Ask MGamer20o0 to come round and clean them ;)

Look forward to seeing updated pictures as they grow...

yes^

very nice fry. thanks for sharing.

thats probably why she gave you 13 of them instead of 5 lol. They must breed like convicts.

LOL you're not far wrong- I've still got about 65-70 fry; I do like geos though (I'm growing 4 Satanoperca leucosticta on at the moment in the hope of getting a pair- they might be more of a challenge to breed).
