Last night in the tank I noticed several little white centipede looking worms corkscrewing up to the surface, then drifting down to the bottom of the tank again and again. WTF? are they bad, are they parasites, are they happy friendly soon to be fish food...?

i can get a photo if i see them doing it again, but last night was the first time, i dont know if they will do it again or not
they almost resemble bristle worms, but i am not too sure bristle worms corkscrew swim to the surface

It sounds like your bristleworms are breeding. These swarmers are modified versions or just segments of adult worms that are full of gametes and modified for swimming. -- greenbean36191
here is what i got off another forum, any thoughts?

I agree. They are called epitokes. You can trust what greenbean36191 has to say about invertebrates :).
