I was looking for some help in identifying the following 2 plants. One is a mystery plant from Petco that had a tag that said "snail plant" . The other was a purchase from a LFS that started to wilt as soon as I put it in the tank. I think it is coming back but I am wondering. There is also a sliver of anubis I think that was intertwine with this plant. I stuck it in the florite but it didnt like that so I am just letting it float.

The second plant is Bolbitis heudelotii - aka african fern.
The thrid looks to be an Echinodorus bleheri (bleherae) which is a sword.
Not sure what the top one is.

Anubias rhizome should never go into the substrate. You can plant its roots there but leave the rhizome above the gravel- it will attach to wood or rock if you tie it down for a bit.

Looks like you nailed the african fern. It says to leave the ryzome unplanted. I have this one stuck into the florite but you can still see a good portion of the roots. Is this OK?

1. Bacopa monnieri
2. Not sure. Doesn't look aquatic
3. Spathiphyllum (peace lily) - not aquatic.

Brazilian sword or peace lily is non aquatic it does best in a shallow pool of water just covering the rooms. Bout medium sun and almost weekly changes of the water. Beautiful plant if taken care of
