I have an aquatic gardens 2 gallon planted invert tank at my desk at work. As the silly thing takes a 4W incandescent nightlight bulb it is really hard on the plants (elodea is barely making it). So I went looking for a replacement.
Check this out isn't it a cool little thing. Little spendy but I've never seen one this size in stores.
Compact+Fluorescent+Screw-in (http://www.bulbs.com/eSpec.aspx?ID=12034&Ref=Compact+Fluorescent+Screw-in&RefId=20&Ref2=Light+Bulbs)
It replaces these standard things. (hopefully)
Incandescent+Bulbs (http://www.bulbs.com/eSpec.aspx?ID=8862&Ref=Incandescent+Bulbs&RefId=24&Ref2=Light+Bulbs)
20 lumens to 250 lumens, the algae is going to be in paradise.
