ick treatment with planted aquarium

Hi everyone,
I have planted up a 28 gallon aquarium pretty heavy and it is gorgeous--or at least I love it. I have a big problem though. My fish have ick pretty bad now and I cannot find any treatments that will not hurt the plants. Is there anything out there?

What fish do you have in that tank? You can use formalin.

turn the heat to 82
put in 2 1/2 cap fulls for I think 3 days? (dont quote me please check before you do it)
50% water change
repeat

a week or 2 with a salt treatment + heat will not hurt the plants.

Go with the salt.thats what im doing right now and my plants are fine.I wouldn't use any meds as most contain dyes that will stain the silicon of your tank.Thats the problem i ran into when i got ick

I have also done the salt/heat treatment with no plant casualties. Worked for me.

Salt would have work here however you mentioned you don't want to hurt the plants though for two weeks, the damage will only be temporary. A half dose of formalin (1 drop per gallon) may help but you will need to switch on all airpumps as formalin will deprive the fish of oxygen.
