That would be yes, also make sure that all carbon is removed before using a medication.

I'd not count on it personally. I've only medicated the display tank once. It is a rare exception and although I turned off some of the equipment it was an extra precaution.

What kind of medication are you trying to remove, or trying not to remove?

i used medication on my qt tank for my angel and i was just wondering if skimmer moves it. =D

Depends upon the medication and its molecular composition. Many of the organic and chelated meds will be removed, but they can be absorbed into other stuff, as well. Chelated copper and many antibiotics are removed, while things like copper sulfate are not (unless they have complexed with assorted things).
