hi all, do you have favorite books or websites you could refer me to? I have a couple of books at home, but the info on inverts in them is pretty topical. I am looking for resources that will give me a lot more detail on the different species, what their requirements are in terms of their care in an aquarium.

Good General Info, including invertebrates:
Bob Fenner's "Conscientious Marine Aquarist"
John Tullock's "Natural Reef Aquariums"
For corals, I like:
Eric Borneman's "Aquarium Corals"
Sprung and Delbeek's "Reef Aquarium" vols 1&2 (Also include tridacnid clams and anemones)
There are probably others that have more info regarding shrimp etc. but I haven't read them.

A good website is wetwebmedia (http://www.wetwebmedia.com) which is run by R. Fenner.

You can also email questions to Fenner, Calfo & crew over at wetwebmedia. A. Calfo identified a hydroid problem I currently am having. I posted pics on some other high volume SW forums where no one could identify my problem. A. Calfo emailed me a response the next day.

Scott W. Michael, "Reef Fishes"
John H. Tullock, "Clownfishes and Sea Anemones"
Frank Indiviglio, "Seahorses"
www.seahorses.org for info on the 'horses...as well as www.oceanrider.com for further info on them.
Is this helpful to you, cathy?
very helpful; will take me quite a while to pick through all this useful info. Thanks every body! Now can somebody "sticky" this so it hangs around?
