will my filter be clear of ick after treatment?

I was dumb enough to put a HOB on the tank with ick though I did not know there was ick at the time ( it already had a sponge filter in it) now I am sure its full of ick to. after the tank is treated and all ick gone will my filters also be clear of ick?
Also did I need to remove the charcoal from the filter when I did the salt treatment ?
 
Carbon is lousy at picking up salt anyway, so you could probably have brand new fresh carbon in there without it affecting the ich treatment (assuming you're using salt, at least).

The salt will kill the ick regardless of where it's hiding, your filter will be fine after treatment.
Right now of course it's a disease ridden hellhole :P
