I was thinking the same thing.

Are you going to add them to the 55 in your sig?

no. stopped by there today. they had a yellow one 3 blue ones. one a grayish color, looking at another sight that had a blue arca just wandering if it was the same. not a blue arca(not spelled right) was looking on another site at chichlids but it said they got 6 inches or more just wandering if this was the same thing that wal mart had

wal-mart does carry convicts
but the fish you saw weren't convicts (black and white) or blue acaras
probably mislabeled africans as far as blue, yellow and grey all mixed together.

a site called the tropical tank shows a pic of a convict cichlid and its blue with black stripes and orange spots thats what i was going by. whatever fish they have on their site is cool.

the orange is the breeding display of the female convict. they have a little blue sheen to them, but the strong blue coloration on the fins is more likely a result of the picture rather than how the fish actually looks. i keep honduran red points, a convict cousin which are actually blue fish when you look at them, but when you take pictures of them the blue color comes out a lot darker. wild-caught convicts also show a lot more color compared to those that come from domestic (overbred) lines.

here are more pictures and information:

walmart has all kinds of fish. . . yours might have convicts or it might not. i really can't tell you if the fish you are seeing are convicts or something else. can you take a picture of them on a camera phone or something?
