Hello again!

While observing my wifes starting nano reef we discovered a very strange thing attached to one of the hermit crabs shells which was not there before. It looks kind of like a feather duster that somehow landed upside down or something, only the threads are longer than the older feather duster, has no tube, only an orange body type thing. The threads also seem smaller than the other feather duster but that could just be due to it being a younger feather duster? Every few minutes the orange body type mass seems to quiver as though the entire thing is chewing or something. Below is the best image that we could manage due to the fact that we do not have a macro lens for the camera.

As well as this we have a small brown anemone looking thing, we can not get a picture of this at all due to the fact that it is brown, and hanging under the live rock in the shade. So the main question i have on this one is, can tiny microscopic anemones attach to cured live rock only to grow a few days later?

Any help on these would be very very much appreciated, it would be good to know that this thing isn't going to eat our hermit crab.

Not to be mean but I can't even tell what that is..

Definitely an diogenid zit. As aesthetically unpleasing and embarrassing as they are for your hermit, don't pop it or it may scar. It leads to excessive molting and personal image issues if left alone, though...
