So I just picked up a farlowella yesterday, they are so neat! She seems happy enough and is eating. Just a few questions:
1. I have read conflicting numbers on what the pH should be at- some really low, and others really high, my tank is sitting right about at 7, is this okay?
2. I also read these guys should have a constant food supply. I have been giving pellets in morning and another pellet or veggies at night, is this enough, or should there be a mid-day snack (I saw this recommended on one web site)?
3. If someone could tell me what type of farlowella this is it would be awesome :)

Thanks!

Your pH is not an issue. As for foods, I feed my Sturisoma panamense thrice a day if I can and most of the time, it stays in the open area to wait for food to drop to the bottom.

As for the ID, I've been struggling with that. The eyes seem different in location. Close guess though is Sturisoma barbatum or Sturisoma nigrirostrum

Thanks for the response Lupin.
Its really difficult to tell which type she is, out of the two you listed, I think she looks more like the Sturisoma barbatum, butI'm really not sure.
Hehehe, and my gal does the similar of sitting out in the open waiting for food to come, same spot every time. She has learned quick!
