Hi,
MY sisters betta, is acting very sickly. I just discoverd this when i did a 25% water change. heavy breathing, lots of air-gulping. Im sure it might pull through. i need a bit of help

bettas gulp air all the time.

We need lots more information. Water parameters? Tank size/mates? Normal maintenance routine? Other behavior besides gulping? Bettas take air from the surface through an organ in their head, and gulp air to make bubbles, so gulping by itself isn't really cause for concern.

k. sorry.. i mean gulping air heavily
. no i dont have a testing kit. its all alone in a 1 g tank. normal behaviors. not very active. sleeps alot..(water stays kinda cold)yes this was a normal matience routine.

*gasp* he mghit just be in shock. when i poured water in..he jmuped up like crazy....

Still not anything to be alarmed about. How often are water changes done, and how cool is cool? Numbers are meaningful.
