One thing I'm doing with my convicts. I have the lights on from about 8am to 11am then again from 6pm to 11pm. This strange lighting schedule tends to throw off any sucessful breeding (I think that's what it is). They still lay eggs, but they either eat the eggs or the fry right after they've hatched.

That is strange so your putting two days into one for them....does it matter that there is light in the room from out side....my lights are set up to go on at 2pm and off at 11pm...i guess i figured thats when people are home so you can see the little rabbits...but when its day light out side there is still alot of light coming through the window during the day even with the curtains closed....or are they acting specifically to the aquarium light not the out side ambient light.....???

You can always try to sell them to a fish store.

I did that with the first few batch's but they wont take them unless they are at least 1.5" to 2" inches so it take a little while before they get that big and plus the local FS cant sell them quick enough for me to keep bringing the little buggers in...what i need to do is plug up the female .....does anyone know of a contraseptive for chichlids......:(
