I'm having a little bit of a bubble problem with this skilter. Is there anything you can do to stop the BUBBLES!

Skilters are pretty much are bubble dumping machines. You can try some extra filter floss/foam/whatever mechanical filter that can be used to stop some of them. Or you could buy and modify some of the bubble diffuser boxes (kinda bulky in the tank) that you get with other skimmers.

yeah they are quite loud although it is skimming pretty well I just don't like all of the bubbles in the tank!

perhaps you could place some sort of box under the spot where the bubbles are coming out and it wont disperse through the whole tank but only in a certain section? just an idea :)

What size tank is the Skilter on?

Truth be told a Skilter really is a terrible skimmer. I had one 20 years and the design hasn't changed since then.

I would really recommend looking at replacing it with a real skimmer.
