Hi all. I have been in the freshwater/planted tank aquarium hobby for over 20 yeas. I have just made the jump to saltwater! Been reading books and on-line like crazy. A lot of conflicting info is out there. Looking forward to trading fishkeeping secrets with you guys!

Welcome to AC. You are right there is a LOT of conflicting information out there, but the best basis that I have found is to know what date the information was published. There has been a lot of new research conducted as our hobby progresses and what once the stylish fad has faded away to the realms of obscurity in reef keeping.

There are lots of helpful people in the forums so don't be afraid to speak up..
