I'm Jenn, fishie mommy to our beautiful male betta, Redneck who we've had for approximately 9months. Also mommy to Larry the snail. :) I'm a human mommy of two boys, Ashton (almost 9, who is autistic) and Holden (almost 6, and is who named the fish and snail).

Our current set-up is a 2.5gallon tank and I have a few questions about our fish, who I think is very very sick. I'll find the appropriate forum for those questions but I did want to say hello.

we've had him for 9months - I'll post a question in the appropriate forum but I THINK he might have dropsy and/or an infected/inflammed swim bladder. he's incredibly swollen around the middle and is mostly floating on his back (i went to flush him yesterday and when i put the net in the tank, he swam away from it!) - I'm not sure if he'll make it or not. we've tried feeding him peas (as Petsmart recommended us to do yesterday) but he won't eat them.

Any advice? I"ll post the pics/questions after dinner tho! :) THANKS
