We just had 70 weather Sunday....now here is what we have coming!!

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LINCOLN IL
1224 AM CST TUE MAR 4 2008

...ICE AND SNOW THREAT CONTINUES ACROSS PARTS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AND TUESDAY...

.TWO WINTER STORM SYSTEMS WILL AFFECT THE AREA OVERNIGHT AND
TUESDAY. THE FIRST SYSTEM HAS BROUGHT FREEZING RAIN ACROSS THE
EAST AND SOUTHEAST WITH ICE ACCUMULATIONS UP TO ONE QUARTER INCH
STILL POSSIBLE BY SUNRISE TUESDAY. AS THE FIRST WAVE IS WINDING
DOWN TUESDAY MORNING...THE SECOND PART OF THE STORM WILL BEGIN AS
AN AREA OF HEAVY SNOW DEVELOPS OVER EASTERN MISSOURI AROUND DAWN AND
MOVES INTO CENTRAL ILLINOIS DURING THE LATE MORNING HOURS. EXPECT
A SNOW BAND OF 3 TO 5 INCHES ALONG A TAYLORVILLE TO DANVILLE LINE...WITH
LESSER AMOUNTS TO THE NORTHWEST AND SOUTHEAST.

Yeah been pretty nice here, that same system is supposed to bring severe Tstorms this way. I'll take the Tstorms over ice and snow anyday. Besides the placement of where I live the storms normally aren't to bad. For some reason the western carolinas and eastern carolinas gets it much worse then us in the piedmont area.

I'm over on the other side of the river, but I hear Illinois is getting clobbered with thunder sleet.
 
:) you KNOW it never stays warm the first time or two. it takes spring a few tries to push off the cold weather.

Breezy. Partly sunny. Slight chance of showers...then slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s. South winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

I would take T-storms anyday....actually I love a good T-storm, the more lightening and thunder the better!!!!

Well, the first "wave" has passed through...really wasn't too bad, the snow is just begging...all the schools are closed
 
I have five inches from the storm so far. Five inches in less than four hours.
