I don't normally post things like this, but I wanted to give honor to a man that I had learned about when I was in school as a young man from one of my teachers was aware of this gentleman and his actions during the wars of our forefathers.
I happened to be listening to the radio the other day and heard that our government had finally approved a Medal of Honor to a recipient in my opinion that deserved it many times over. Unfortunately it was awarded posthumously.
It is at times like this that I know how great of a country that I live in simply because of the people that reside within its borders.
