would it be bettter to put a duscus in my 35 hex tank or one angel in it

both fish will get rather large, I would not even consider discus in a tank that size. you should keep at least 4 discus anyway. Discus can get up to 8" in diameter.I am not too familiar with keeping angels, but this might be the better option, if you must choose one of the two, but angels will also get rather large. there might be some strains that will stay smaller..

I agree..no on the discus..they are actually a schooling fish and a 35 is too small for a school.(you would really need a 55 std tank.

hex tanks don't have a great footprint. but you may be able to get by with a single angel in that tank..tho I am not sure I would keep an angel with guppies.

FYI, there are three known species of angels .
P.Scalare,
P. Altum
P. Leopoldi

the leopodli( formerly Dumerilli) is the smallest specie of angel..the Altum the largest.

i had 2 firemouths in there for ten years, they live happy and showed lots of color, i think im going to do some bolivan rams and kribs, would that be ok

kribs are too aggressive for the the rams. pick one or the other, and only one pair. there's not enough bottom area for two pairs to have enough territory.

ok what would you pick, the kribs or rams

:iagree: It has to be one or the other, as for the firemouths they probably could live in there but not thrive. We could all live in 6' x 6' cell's but we would not be happy.

we wouldn't be happy if we live in 20' by 20' cells ithere, you cant compare a human to a stupid fish
