Hey guys, I was just wondering how many corys would be comfortable in a 20 gallon long. I didn't get the tank yet, but when I do I will be switching everything from my 15 gallon into it and then will be adding around 15 red cherry shrimp and 2 apple snails. Eventually I will be adding a few mid/upper level dwellers, but for right now I just want to get a bigger group of corys. The corys I have are 2 different types (the c. virginae is similar to the c. trili. in size) and I want to get at least a couple more of each... so could I get 3 more of each for a total of 8? Or would that be too much on the bottom of the tank (with the shrimp and all)? Or could I do even more? I really have no idea. I love corys so I wouldn't mind having them as the majority of my stock, I just want to make sure I'm not going to overcrowd the bottom of my tank. Thanks!

great, thanks guys!

10-12 total..they are not a heavy bio load

Thanks for the additional feedback guys... now I just have to wait until I have $$ to buy a heater for the QT tank and also the actual fish. Stupid car insurance and repairs are taking all my extra cash :silly:. I don't care if my car needs a new windshield, my corys need more friends!! haha
