Could anyone tell me what flow or size powerhead I could use (if any) in a 20 gallon that is heavily planted?? I do not want to ruin the plants but am still toying (although I stated I wasn't this past week) with invertebrates (shrimp not snails) for my tank.

I bought Azoo Powerhead Model 1200 from drs. foster and smith for 10.49 each to use in my smaller tanks and they work great for the price.

I like the propeller pumps myself, never done a small tank but I wonder if the Koralia Nano would work well on that size? Probably the 1-2 might work well too, nano might be too small, dont really know. I've only used the big ones.

I use a Koralia 3 in my 29g SW FOWLR tank. I had two K3's but it was too much flow. Might want to try a nano. Better yet, don't use Koralias if your breeding the shrimp. The fry could be easily sucked up and killed. You should try a powerhead that allows you to add a filter guard adapter, something like an Aquaclear 1000 (80gph).

i'd go for an aquaglobe(hard to find but tiny and 250gph)

Thanks guys but I ordered the azoo. It osunds like it gives enough circulation, but not too much. I have two Korilia 3's in my 37 gallon reef tank. Those (even the nano) are way too strong for my plants.
