i didnt know that this was how they did it but apparently it is. the bulb was left exposed and the stem between the bulb and the plant kept getting longer. i noticed yesterday that the center of the stem is producing new leaves for a new plant and i seperated it today. enjoy and let me know if this is common.

OOOH, that's neat. I have a bulb that's really 3 stuck all together. They're just getting roots from the leaves like yours, maybe I'll get more too. I wasn't sure what to expect.

So THAT'S what my funky red plant is! Hahaha... I've loved that thing ever since it started growing. Very colorful, unique shaped leaves around the bulb, and produces nice lilly pads on the water's surface. :)
