I have not heard of a single instance of *CONFIRMED* breeding of any filter feeding shrimp, in captivity. However, I do personally know a few who are trying, and have chatted with others who have or are trying to breed them. The one person who I have spoken with who said he had done it, would not produce photos of any young in during larval stages, nor show pictures of anything besides a tank with different sized adult shrimp. So....
There is next to no documentation about captive breeding of filter feeders. But their habitats are similar to Amano shrimp (adults live in fresh water, but larva mature in brackish estuaries). Those who are trying to breed them, are using the method for rearing Amano larvae with filter feeders, or variations of it. There are confirmed reports of Amano breeding, and information on how to do so.
