A while ago I put mylar film as a reflector over my 20 long,(yea, read it somewhere). Today I wanted to check if a 20w fixture worked & tried the bulb in the 20. Ugh! crumbly, static-y mylar everywhere.
So, I decided to remove the double sided tape or whatever dried out stuff it was with lighter fluid. That didn't work well so I grabbed a spray bottle of some cleaner to remove the naphtha residue. OH yuck! Now it smells of cleaner & I'm waiting for it to dry after trying to wipe & rinse it off.
The light doesn't go over open water but geez now I'm worried I'll poison my fish from residual fumes. What was I thinking times 3 :wall::wall::wall:
Should have stuck with doing my taxes, some break. Now I get to vacuum up mylar dust & play can you smell it now. Bah!
