Has anyone ever made a diy quick disconnect for there mag 350? IF so what did you use?

My response does not answer your question and is based on experience not associated with fish keeping.
It is not if but when a quick disconnect, whether factory manufactured or DIY, fails.
Hence a manual operated valve.

I have run Mags for 20 some years and currently have over three dozen of them going. I also use their quick disconnects on many other plumbing issues.
I have never had one fail in any way.
