Where to buy filter floss?

Filter Floss. People talk about buying a huge bag of it for like $3. Where do you get it like that? LFS? Petco? Ken's Fish? Home Depot?

I feel like the stuff is the same or similar to polyfiber stuffing used for pillows and stuff that you can buy at your local craft store..... as long as it's polyester and not cotton shouldn't it work?

Basically, it's time to replace my fine filter in my eheim and I'm looking for something that I don't have to wait a week for(shipping) and that's not $5 for one use.

just buy the stuff called polyester pillow stuffing.it can only be polyester as cotton will rot.i bought mine at walmart

man, you have no idea how much of a relief that is.

So, my fine filter pad is just nasty, like, really really nasty, and therefore it's putting nasty stuff back into my tank. At first glance you'd think it's early stages of green water, but it's not. It's the brown nasty. Fully planted, no definitely no ammonia or nitrate buildup. Just in case it was some other organic(water doesn't smell, but who knows) went to add some carbon to my filter, and that's when I saw the nasty.

So, a quick Wal-Mart run and I'll be in business.

i notice as mine is starting to clog, the filter output gets dramatically lowered quickly. just keep an eye out for that

Wal-mart, Although I should really grab another bag. The stuff is awsome though, Tends to clog fast (week or two), and works just as well as the Rena Micron filters. In my DIY canister filter, the first 1/2" turns almost black within the 2 weeks.

walmart..... anything with the word fish on it gets marked up...... thats when when i am out i think can i use this in my tank and how will i use it lol
