F15T8 ODNO??

Good evening,

I have an 18G planted tank with a 10G footprint.
My question is:
Can you ODNO a 15 Watt tube with an electronic ballast rated for more wattage (IE: 30 watt) ?

I have a 46 BF that I ODNO'd with a 4 tube EB succesfully(since upgraded to a 96W A&H retrofit kit).
I'd like to upgrade the lighting.

Any fluorescent bulb can be OD'd, just how much and how long the bulb lasts is another question. I OD'd a F17T8 X4 without any real issues, Its not running at this moment because I hated those bulbs. Once I get some decent F17T8's @6500K I should be good to go.

I'm not too concerned about lamp life, the 36" tubesl worked for about 9 mos. BUT I needed more ligh, so I upgraded.
