Upon my recent ventures i purchased a 3lb live rock, among the hitch hikers were,A tiny polyp, various grasses and plants,an orange tree sponge,a dime sized polyp.a hair worm, and some things that i could not identify. These things have white tentacles that extend from the rock and can go back into the rock itself. Does anyone have an idea what these things are?

There are a variety of things they could be. In the absence of a photo you might try looking through a few hitchiker ID sites. I have a few listed here: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/blog.php?b=179

Well i put some fish food in,and the pieces that fell the rock sprouted these things and reached the length of the tank and picked them up!
