Im looking for a great food to feed my discus. I've come across 2 brands so far. One is Ocean Nutrition Jack Wattley Discus Formula and the other is Hikira discus bio-gold. Has anyone ever used either of these products? is there a better product that I should be looking at? Thanks for your help

Whatever you feed with, keep it changed up, constant variety.

I feed my discus Ocean Nutrition Brine Shrimp Plus Flakes, Ocean Nutrition Formula One Flakes, New Life Spectrum Discus Formula Sinking Pellets, and lots of frozen Hikari bloodworms. I've not tried the foods you are looking at, but I'm sure they are good foods. It may take a while for the discus to get used to them. A lot of people use Tetra color bits for their discus. Mine would never touch them, won't eat beefheart mix, or any other kind of frozen food. They seem to pick what they like and stick to it!

I feed all my fish nothing but New Life Spectrum. It is truly complete and balanced so there is no need for anything else. Fish actually do best on it when it is the only thing fed. I highly recommend taking a good look at it. There is a lot of information on their website.

New Life Spectrum is one food that my discus would never even sniff at I use Omega one color flakes, regular omega flakes, frozen blood worms & brine shrimp, freezed dried blood worms and HBH discus flake.

Unfortunutly verey little Hikari is available @ LFS only wafers and beta foods

One of the best things you can do is get them eating out of a bowl, this makes it much easier to switch them on to the foods that you want them to eat, not what they will hold out for. Once they associate the bowl with food they are more willing to take whatever happens to be in it. It also just takes getting them hungry. I would skip Omega One, my fish don't need artificial colors or extra preservatives.
