My tank looked so empty after rehoming my firemouths and acara so i decided to get a fish more capable of looking after itself to fill the gap.
After visiting two lfs's and doing a round trip of 120 miles i came home with one 3" redheaded cichlid and one 2" blue throat convict. All are doing well at the moment, will post some pic's when i have some.
I am really pleased with these fish and hope they all get along, if they do all get along they will be the last editions to the tank until the next upgrade.

Looks like a convict to me. I'm not saying that it is, just that it looks like my convicts..... and I have 3 tanks of them.

n0zkh.... they are very closely related to convicts,and will interbreed with them

Yes he is a blue throated convict when you look at him from the front he has a bright blue throat. Since i have added him to my tank he has become a lot more colourfull with a red tail and yellow dorsal fin. I added him and the redheaded cichlid at the same time so i posted pic's of them both but the redheaded was harder to take photos of so the pic's of him didn't come out as well .
