new cichlids

i just bought two firemouth cichlids both about 3 in, i think one is a female and i think one is a male, the bigger one (female) is always beeting up on the male (the smaller one) and he has to hid in the plants in the middle level of the tank, i heard that if you croud them they wont be as agressive, what should i do
 
I told you your tank was to small for fire mouth and there would be problems. I have 3 and they fight all day and night. 2 male and one femlae and she is the agressor. no way are you going to have it good with those to. sorry but fire mouths need lots of room and are poops!
 
i told you there in a 55Gal. tank!!
 
You need a much bigger tank with more decor....
 
would it do better to get another firemouth
 
sould i just stick to one
 
Oh man, read my posts, I got three in a 55 and there monsters!! I have had to move them from tank to tank. there driving me nuts! Sorry I thought you had them in the smaller tank :)
 
its ok, so should i just stick to one, and take back the other
