i'm thinking about 86'n my firemouths due to recent psycho behavior.they chase and nip my green severum all day long,even after i rearrange my tank weekly now for about 3 weeks.my severums look stressed out 24-7 and are all nipped up.if i do get rid of them what should i put in there place?nothing to big i only have a 90 gallon with three severums already.thank you in advance.

i was told by my friend who has geophaguses that my tank is to warm for geos. i keep my tank about 80 fer.

Na, I keep the tank my Jurupari in at 79. They aren't that picky that one degree either way would hurt.

He was kidding... A 90g with three sevs (any pairs?), is already verging on full when they're grown out, imo. I'm surprised that FM are messing with the sevs, unless the sevs are small? Are the FM a pair; are there more than two of them?

FM are nasty when they're in with docile fish. If you pull the FM, and the sevs are still small, then I'd look at hrp, or rainbows. If the sevs are big, I'm not sure I'd try to add anything.

yeah,i was surprised myself.my severum are twice the size of my firemouth.i had three firemouth but the two crazy ones killed that one about three weeks ago.thats when i started to change my rocks and wood around in hopes to calm them down.
thanks for the info,i had a feeling that my tank was getting full.when i bought them i was told that they would max out about 8 inches..lol.

thanks for the info i due love geos.i talked to my friend last night after the post and he said the same thing.i guess he keep labeaudes or la-be-ah-des?forgive my spelling.i guess they like colder water.so he says.
