This is my only aquarium right now, over the years I've had to cut back due to electricity constraints, but I'm happy with it. Its a 30 gal deep with 2 24" flourescent tubes and 1 18" flourescent, 55w total. For filtration I have a penguin 1180 powerhead with a sponge on the output to slow down surface disturbance and a penguin 125 bio wheel back filter. I use a DIY Co2 system for my plants, of which I have Java fern, Java moss, Cabomba, and some grass whose name escapes me right now. Right now the tank has 1 4" male Convict, a 4" pictus catfish, and about 7 swortails/platys (the platys are food for the pictus cat, the swords just look nice). Surprisingly, the convict completely ignores the livebearers altogether, but the pictus makes a real nice dither fish to keep him on his toes. After I started feeding the catfish feeder platys I ended up liking the platys so much that I wish I didn't have the cat anymore, funny how that works.
Here's the tank:

That flash at the front of the tank is the catfish, who never stops moving.

That's his favorite spot.

These are the swordtails, 3 males- 2 green, 1 pineapple, all very blurry.

This is my big bruiser. Maybe I'm biased, but I've never seen a convict in his shape. Never been bred, never been in a fight. His fins are pristene. He's starting to get older and is developing the mature bump on his head, which I hope gets really big cause it makes cons look really mean and awesome.

That one shows how long his lyres really are.
