For my tank is will be fine right?
nothing in it yet ,but does this mean our amm will finally peak?
Does this mean we are prolonging our cycle ?
any thaughts?
We are getting 30lbs tomorrow am.
Is there anything we need to look out for with LR uncured?
Thanks in advanced

So in future when i buy live rock ,i can keep it in the buckets , for a month and then add to display ?
I will have to look into the LR aspect ,because i will have to add something to satisy my daughter ,and have a long way to go with the live rock .

cured=safe to put in your tank
uncured=needs to cycle ,for dead a dying will spike levels and kill other living things

IM a newbie ./could be wrong

thank you very much grins ,just last night i was thinking on getting another heater lol i knew there was a reason other then me braking this one lol.
You always seem to have the answers im looking for :-)

I think now ,i have enough LR to give it a good cycle and peak my levels enough for me to feel comfortable ,and also this has been a good learning experiance for our family.
now to start over ,i got aqua plus tap water conditioner for now ,when hubby gets back from business (next thursday) im going to send him to get
coralife pure-flow 11 R.O. unit and the add on deionization
we are in an apartment so im thinking this one will do ,what do you think?

90gl
56lbs LR

Thats basically it.. What happens is that the die off will cause an ammonia spike which in turn is toxic to the tanks inhabitants. I basically consider any LR that is shipped through UPS, FedEx etc uncurred rock due to the time constraints that it is out of water. It might be wrapped in wet newpaper but realistically its not in water with movement and there is going to be die off.. If you purchase it from a local pet store and cover it in wet newspaper and a couple of heavy duty trash bags, I've transported pieces for several hours this way and they ended up fine.
