I am looking at restocking my 125 gallon. There has only been 2 severums and 2 silver dollars for a couple of months.

Here are my thoughts (please let me know what you think)
2 Severums
3 Silver Dollars
Some Rams (not sure which ones)
A few Angels
and a big school of smaller fish (that won't get eaten)
and maybe a few loaches or pictus catfish

For the schooling fish I was wondering if Rummynose would work. If not can you suggest something that would work with the fish listed above. And what numbers would you suggest of the fish listed?

Thanks!

Both silver dollars and severum will get 6+" and the severum would eat the rummynoses and potentially the rams. It's been my experience that silver dollars are fin snackers, so I wouldn't put angels with them.

I would keep the 2 severum and add:

5 more silver dollars
10-15 praecox rainbows (small, but too big to eat)
3-5 congo tetras
2 pictus catfish
1 fancy pleco
5 yoyo or clown loaches
1 roseline shark

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have read about others keeping rams with severums, so I thought it would work.

I don't really want to spend $10 a fish for the rainbows.

Guess I will keep looking.

Check aquabid.com. You might be able to find them for less. I only paid $5 for mine.

I would not keep rams nor angels with your wish-list--severum too big, and SD too fin nippy.
1) SD and severum with ---Congo tetra, black skirts, lemon, Head & tail lights, lamp eye, emperors, diamons, bleeding hearts, rainbows, ect.
