filter media besides floss? for emperior

I am ordering the marine land emperor from big Al's tonight... and would like to add more then the filter floss... will this fit the 400 model ?

it says fits it fits Marineland Penguin 350B Power Filter but these filters look the same size.
what would you suggest for extra media?

also would it be over kill to add 2 of these marinland filters to my 55 gallon tank?

Petsmart usually has this exact product for under $5 a package and it will last a long time. You just cut it to fit. I've stopped buying the Rite Size cartridges all together. This is much cheaper and more effective.
 
No, the penguin 350 media baskets are smaller. Emperor 400 comes with two media baskets standard. Two Emperor 400's would be better than one. I have a penguin 350, emperor 280 and a HOT magnum on my 55. The 280 and 350 were enough. But I found the HOT mag on a clearance rack for $22. Couldn't pass it up.
I use Seachem matrix for more bio filtration in Hot mag, a "supercartidge6" in the emperor and peat granules in the penguin's media baskets.
