Tolerable Nitrite Levels

I added my Female Convict to my 20G today thinking it was cycled. The Nitrite Levels were at .25 for two days, after a few days of cycling. I added a lot of established rocks and stuff, so that speeded it up.

The point is, how long can a Convict survive in with .5ppm of Nitrites?

Do a 50% water change like asap. Nitrites can be deadly when reaching heights its already reached in your tank. Keep doing the water changes daily until you are reading no nitrites or ammonia and are reading small nitrate ppm such as 5 ppm
