This pH meter has a large "output power" cord that plugs into a socket and has another socket on the back of it, which I assume is where my solenoid should plug into. It also has a smaller 12v power supply cord also.

So, I have this power strip with timers... 4 sockets are continuous power, 2 are for night, and 2 are for day (1 is occupied by my lights). If I want my co2 shut off when lights are out, what do I need to plug in where? Output in daytime socket and 12v power supply in continuous? Or vise versa?

Is it a bad idea to try and use the pH meter AND timer at the same time?

Which plug? The power supply or the output? I only have 1 "daylight" and 2 continuous sockets available for use.

You don't understand my question Mg. :) I have only 1 daytime socket, and this controller has 2 plugs... they are a power supply and an output. Both have to be plugged in, but if I put both into daytime sockets, I'll have nowhere to plug my lights in. I'm asking which of these cords to plug into that socket you're talking about.

Nm, it works putting the PS on the timer. It probably would the other way around too, but didn't bother trying that.

Yeah I shoulda taken 2min to take a picture instead of 10min typing the explanation. hehe Since it has 2 plugs, it forms a circuit, so I imagine breaking this circuit at either plug would stop the co2 when needed, but breaking it at the power supply end turns the pH controller off as well, which is good since it's not needed during co2 downtime.
